Wednesday, we got a last minute call from the kids Grammy asking if they wanted to visit for the Holiday weekend. I put them on a plane yesterday late afternoon (after all the delays due to hurricane Alex).
Yesterday afternoon while I was getting the kids ready for their trip hubby called saying he had a surprise…Ok 1 thing you may not know about me, I LOVE surprises when I don’t know one is coming, but HATE it when someone says I have a surprise for you and then I have to wait for it! On the other hand Hubby LOVES this. He likes to plan surprises for me (BIG and LITTLE) and then give me hints over days and sometimes weeks. He knows it drives me crazy and for some reason the game makes the surprise fun for him. We have been married for 7-1/2 years now and I have accepted this and play along for him :)
Anyway, he calls saying he has a surprise. He has booked a hotel room for Friday night then proceeds to give me a few hints. We played the guessing game through text messaging all afternoon (I have to admit it was kind of fun, but only because I knew I would have the answer soon). Last night (after I guessed the answer) he told me where we are going. NOW this is where the BEST HUBBY part comes in. He booked a room at the Westin Hotel connected to the Galleria and has planned 2 fun filled days of SHOPPING, eating, and relaxing!!! For the record hubby HATES (ok maybe hate is a strong word) shopping, but knows how much I LOVE it…isn’t he sweet??
I am off to pack and take the dog to be boarded! Have a great weekend…I know I am going to :)

In Dallas? I'm from Arlington and I know there's a hotel connected to the fancy Galleria there. Lucky, lucky you! What a sweet hubby!
Fun! I thought I was going to be super jealous by the title. Shopping, yummy! You enjoy your special time with your husband :) Poor Cody is going to be so sad...lol

What a fun surprise....and it is really sweet when they do something for you that they don't like to do..you know he totally loves you!
