We are going to be moving to Houston in less than 2 weeks, and I will be without my sewing machine etc for a while so I decided to start a few applique projects to keep me going.
Here is the BOM project...
And here is another project I started. I got the pattern from Don't Look Now. It was fun and easy. The pattern is for a pillow, but I decided to do a wall hanging instead. I also decided to add a scrappy border. I am going to hang it up in my new office/sewing room at the new house when it is finished. Hopefully finishing the edges will keep me busy for a while.
The Home Sweet Home BOM I am doing hand applique, and this one I did with iron on fusible web. The iron on was so much easier than turning the edges...after I finish the Home Sweet Home quilt I think I will do all future projects with the iron on method...maybe. LOL

all your project are delightful especially the home sweeet home one.
Everything is looking great!! Keep up the good work! :0)
Oh my! We have the same tastes in quilts! I have the fabric all purchased and book sitting waiting for me to make the Blackbird houses quilt - beautiful pattern! Plus I made the Don't Look Now pillow a couple of months ago - so easy, so bright and so very happy! Enjoy. - Marlene
I, too, have been working on the Home Sweet Home blocks. They are all done and I was working on the border, but didn't like the way there were coming out. I am actually thinking of ripping them out and starting over, but because I was so frustrated I put the whole thing away for awhile. enjoy working on this quilt. It is a beauty.
What a cute bag...love your Home Sweet Home!
Love your bag! And, the other two projects are going to be so pretty.
Adorable....bag...and I can't wait to see your other projects!
Love the bag! I did the Home Sweet Home, but have never gotten it quilted... that will have to be one of my future finishes. Enjoy the applique.
